Citizens for Milford hosted the Ninth Annual Milford Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Draper Memorial Park on Friday, November 29, 2024. We were thrilled to have close to 300 guests on hand to enjoy free treats, a special visit from Santa Claus, the holiday carol sing-along led by members of the Greater Milford Community Chorus, as well as the tree lighting!

This event is a true community collaboration. We extend special gratitude to David Sanches of Busy Bee Landscaping and Construction, who donated and planted this tree years ago. We also thank the Milford Parks Commission for supporting the tree and our annual ceremony over the years, as well as the Milford Fire Department for loaning their bucket truck and the Milford Parks Department for their work to install the star and lights on the tree–a HUGE help!
We also thank the Greater Milford Community Chorus, Milford’s Rail Trail Flatbread Company, and the Milford Public Schools Food Service. Rail Trail provided hot soup, brownies, and cocoa free to everyone, and the MPS Food Service baked 200 cookies that we distributed free to attendees. Citizens for Milford is also grateful to the Milford Cultural Council, which has awarded grant funds in past years to help fund this event. THANK YOU ALL!
