It’s Field of Flag Season!

First Field of FlagS Display Installed for Memorial Day

The flags are flying in Draper Memorial Park!!! Thanks to a small army of volunteers, 220 flags now grace this town jewel in downtown Milford. The flags will remain standing in Draper Park until Monday, June 2. We invite residents and visitors to take some time to walk among the flags and to consider the service and sacrifice of each veteran and active member of the military honored in this sea of red, white, and blue.

Note: Due to a predicted major storm on May 22, we delayed placing the name cards and photos until Friday, May 23.

We are thrilled to have received a sponsorship for each and every flag! If you are interested in sponsoring a flag, please check with us in March 2026 for next year’s displays. You might also want to consider participating in the Milford Salvation Army’s Fly the Flag program. They continue to accept sponsorships. Learn more here.

Special Thanks!
We extend sincerest gratitude to our partners at the Milford Corps of the Salvation Army and the Milford Parks Department crew for working together with us to make this beloved community project a reality. We also want to thank all our volunteers, including folks from Milford Federal Bank, Irreverent Warriors, and Master Roof, as well all our flag sponsors. And most importantly, THANK YOU veterans and active military and your families for your service to our nation. We honor you!

Field of Flags Schedule
The flags are installed for three patriotic holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day. The flags stay in place for about ten days for each holiday. Everyone is welcome to help us install and take down the flags. Please see the schedule under UPCOMING EVENTS at the top right of this page.
