THANK YOU to All OUR Partners and Volunteers!
The rain may have thwarted our plans for the April 26th official date of Beautification Day, but thanks to a small army of committed volunteers, we worked together to clean up Milford for the previous two weeks!
On Friday, several individuals tackled problem spots along the trail, plus volunteers from four groups and businesses picked up trash around town, including Master Roof Inc., The Milford Youth Center, Milford Federal Bank, Planet Aid, plus members of Citizens for Milford.

Earlier this week a crew of volunteers from Seven Hills Foundation ASPiRE! took charge of the clean-up at Fino Field, and volunteers from Doubletree by Hilton of Milford picked up a section of Beaver Street.
And the week before, personnel from the Massachusetts Department of Correction worked on some of Milford’s most challenging areas on four days, including Route 140.
Of course, these efforts would not be possible without the assistance and support of our partners: Friends of the Milford Upper Charles Trail, Milford Highway Department, Milford Board of Health, Milford Parks Department, Massachusetts Department of Correction, Master Roof, and Greenleaf Garden Club. We also want to recognize E.L. Harvey for providing many supplies.

And even though the weather prevented their participation, we want to thank the Milford Lions Club and Rail Trail Flatbread Co. Milford for their generous offer to provide lunch and ice cream for all the volunteers.

As always, we encourage all Milford residents and businesses to be mindful of trash on your property and to help pick up whenever you can. Let’s all work together to beautify Milford!

IMPORTANT!!! Unfortunately, Mother Nature is not cooperating with our plans for tomorrow’s Beautification Day. Due to the expected rainfall on Saturday, Citizens for Milford will only be distributing supplies TODAY. We are cancelling tomorrow’s event to ensure everyone’s safety. As always, we encourage all members of the community to be mindful of trash and to pick it up whenever you see it in your own neighborhoods.
