More than 150 Milford residents donated their time and energy to help beautify Milford by picking up trash throughout town on Saturday, April 25th, 2015, as part of Milford Beautification Day. Over 200 bags of litter were collected, along with numerous TVs and other large items.
Citizens for Milford and the Milford Farmers Market organized this effort in collaboration with the Milford Board of Health, the Milford Highway Department, Republic Services, and the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department Community Service Program. We extend our sincerest gratitude to all these groups for their assistance. We particularly appreciate the financial support of Republic Services, which donated $1,500 for our supplies, and the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department Community Service Program, which provided work crews on the two days preceding Beautification Day to pick up trash along some of Milford’s busier roads.
